The Enclave at Canyon Lake is located within the Comal County Independent School District. Brown Elementary, Comal Elementary, Frazier Elementary, Goodwin Primary School, Hoffmann Lane Elementary, Rahe Bulverde Elementary, and Specht Elementary are highlighted schools that have been recognized in the state’s accountability system by the Texas Education Agency. This recognition is given to schools where a minimum of 70 percent of every ethnic group has passed the TAKS test.
Other schools located within the Comal County Independent School District include Rebecca Creek Elementary (about 2 miles from the Enclave), Canyon Intermediate, Arlon Seay Intermediate School, Canyon Middle School, Smithson Valley Middle School, Spring Branch Middle School, Canyon High School, Comal Leadership Institute, and Smithson Valley High School.
Canyon High School is currently under construction, but will open in 2007. In its first year, the high school will offer grades seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth; second year grades will include seventh, eight, ninth, tenth and eleventh; and third year grades will include ninth, tenth, eleventh and twelth grades. Canyon High School will accommodate 1,500 students in classrooms, and 2,000 students in core facilities such as the gym and cafeteria, etc.
